PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared-ray remote control receiver, which stores a series of infrared-ray pulses transmitted from an arbitrary infrared-ray remote control transmitter, compares received infrared-ray pulses with the stored pulses, and can reproduce the stored pulses. SOLUTION: An infrared-ray remote control receiver is constituted of a memory 3 and a CPU 2, having an I/O port 5 connected with an infrared-ray receiving unit 4 and a clock 6, classifies received pulses transmitted in a series of pulse patterns into two kinds of pulses, that is, those having long pulse widths and those having short pulse widths, and stores or compares the pulses by converting the pulses into those set and reset state of one bit of the memory 3, respectively. |
