A method for making canned food provides for preparing beet, cutting, packing into glass containers, closure and sterilizing. The chopped beet is mixed with sugar in a ratio of beet:sugar equal to 10:3, the mixture is kept for 16-20 hours at a temperature of 15-20 °С, the juice which had formed, is separated and the beet is repeatedly mixed with sugar in the same ratio and kept at the stated modes. Then the juice, which had formed, is separated, and the beet treated in such a way is poured with a 90 °С sugar syrup in a ratio sugar:water equal to 1:(1.16-1.18) per 1 kg of the beet, after what the syrup is discharged, and after packing the beet thus treated is poured with cherry juice. |
