Fuse holder system with indicator - applies earth by user's finger to light that indicates fuse condition

The fuse holder has an indicator showing whether the fuse has cut out or not. The end (2b) of the fuse (2) not connected directly to the supply voltage is connected to an indicating device which can be activated so that it emits an optical signal if a voltage is present at the non-supply end of the fuse -- i.e. if the fuse has not cut out. Activation is via a switch that applies earth to one end of the optical indicator. This switch is formed by the user's finger placed on a touch plate. The earth connection is through the user's body.
