PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate faults of the irregular rotation of a plotter motor for rotatably driving a platen roller when the inverting roller of a second conveyor is rotatably driven by closing an electromagnetic clutch for the inverting roller during platemaking and lengthening an FPT at a slower speed than a master conveying speed at the platen roller of a first conveyor by sending a platemade master to the clamper of a plate cylinder when the inverting roller is rotatably driven by a stepping motor or the like. SOLUTION: The platemaking and plate supplying device for a printer comprises a main controller 120 for controlling to drive an inverting roller stepping motor 110 of a second conveyor 21-2 to platemake a plate cylinder 2 at the front end of a platemade master 22 at predetermined timing during platemaking or in a state in which the platemaking is finished by a first conveyor 21-1 and to drive the motor 110 so that the master conveying speed v2 of the conveyor 21-2 always becomes the master conveying speed v1 or more of the conveyor 21-1 when the motor 110 is driven.
