PURPOSE:To eliminate manual loading and unloading operation and to facilitate such operation by inserting a fork into a pallet carrying materials in upright position, and loading and unloading the materials together with the pallet by using a support base. CONSTITUTION:When lumber 20 is to be loaded on a truck bed 30, the truck bed 30 is inclined relative to a chassis frame 16. The truck is backed up, and a fork 13 is inserted into a space in a pallel 18. An actuator 32 is operated to bring a support base 31 to contact the lumber 20, which is roped to the support base 31 to be fixed to same. The actuator 32 is set in reverse motion to bring the support base closer to the truck bed floor 11. The lumber 20 moves away from a support log 21, and is leaned against the truck bed floor 11 which is inclined. A cylinder 17 is operated to return the truck bed 11 to be parallel with the chassis frame 16 for loading. |
