PURPOSE:To make it possible to certainly perform type bite-holding operation, by applying reversal driving to a type bar driving motor corresponding to the signal of the detector for detecting the type bite-holding stand-by position of a type bar piece immediately before entering printing operation. CONSTITUTION:A printing key 31 is turned ON and FF32 is set to perform the triggering of a trigger 33 and, when a type bar piece 13 is present at a type bite-holding stand-by position at this time, MM33 is reset by the output of a detector 15 and a solenoid 42 raises a bushing 41 to enter printing operation. When said type bar piece 13 is absent at the stand-by position, the solenoid 42 is not excited by the L-output of the detector 15 and a type bar driving motor 26 is reversely driven through a reversal amplifier 36 to allow the type bar piece 13 to approach the stand-by position and, when said type bar 13 reaches the stand-by position, the detector 15 detects this state to start printing operation and, when a type is pushed up to enter a type bite-holder, the motor 26 is positively driven by the signal of a detector 28 and the type is held by a type bar 12 in a bitten state and printing is performed toward a platen 27. |
