The invention concerns an earthing terminal for a welding machine. The earthing terminal comprises a fixing screw 2 which can be turned in a framework 1 and an anvil 5 formed in the framework 1, which together form a screw terminal, by which the earthing terminal is fastened to the workpiece 9. In addition the earthing terminal has a connection for securing the earthing lead 7 to the framework 1. In known earthing terminals there are design faults, making them unreliable and preventing them from passing sufficient current in relation to their size. The faults are due to the terminal not forming a proper contact between the workpiece and the earthing lead which would ensure that the current of electricity could flow properly. In order to remedy these faults the connection of the earthing lead to the anvil 5 comprises a hole 6 at right angles to the direction of movement of the fixing screw 2 and fixing devices 14,15 which secure both the bare part of the earthing lead 12 and the cable insulation 13 in the hole 6. <IMAGE> |
