摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit the change rate of an anode current to prevent an arc discharge between the anode and an emitter, by connecting an inductor in series between the anode and a voltage source. SOLUTION: A cathode 14 on a base plate 11 composed of glass or Si, is electrically connected to an emitter 13 via a cathode electrode 12, and the electrode 12 controls an electric current between the emitter 13 and a drawing grid or gates 17. Insulators 16 are provided on the parts of a cathode conductor 14 and the cathode electrode 12, and the gates 17 are formed on the insulators 16. The gates 17 have an emitting opening 22 on the center of the emitter 13 so that an electron can pass the gates 17, and the emitter 13 emits the electron attracted to an anode 18. A voltage source 21 gives positive electric potential to the anode 18, and the space between the emitter 13 and the anode 18 is made a vacuum to prevent the generation of electric discharge in the space. The change ratio of an anode current 23 can be limited, and the damage to the emitter 13 can be prevented by joining an inductor 19 in series between the anode 18 and the source 21.</p>
