This partition for showers comprises a glass sheet. It may be joined and fastened directly or indirectly to a support profile or the wall, with or without a frame. The new feature is a self-adhesive sealing band (2) used at the edges of the glass sheet (1). Preferably, there is a layer of adhesive (4) on at least one side of this seal. Starting from the edge of the glass sheet, the seal cross section decreases outwardly. The band is compressible, and may have a cavity (5). It is made of neoprene or rubber and has a semicircular or trapezoidal section with sealing ribs.
