PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an adaptive array antenna system that can efficiently eliminate interference waves without the need for an arithmetic operation in proportion to the number of the interference waves even under an environment where the power of the interference waves is stronger than that of a desired wave and a plurality of the interference waves are arriving. SOLUTION: The adaptive array antenna system is provided with a power minimizing processing section with a binding condition that binds a weight coefficient for any of a plurality of antenna elements 11 and decides a 1st weight coefficient to minimize a weighted synthesis output signal, an automatic frequency control section 14, a clock recovery circuit 15 that recovers a clock signal, a reference signal generating section 18 that outputs the reference signal of a desired wave, a square error minimizing processing section that decides a 2nd weight coefficient to minimize an error between the reference signal and a weighted synthesis output signal as to the signal synchronized by the automatic frequency control section 14 and the clock recovery circuit 15, a reception level monitor section 16, and a weight coefficient changeover means that selectively provides the 1st and 2nd weight coefficients to a weighting synthesis circuit 13 on the basis of the detected level of the received signal. |
