PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure improved heating characteristics and improve maintenance property in an air-conditioner that is applied to, especially, the use for a high ceiling. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 21 is arranged in a casing 1 where an inner suction/discharge port 3 and an outer suction/discharge port 4 are formed close to a lower surface center and an outer periphery, respectively, so that the inside and the outside of the heat exchanger 29 face the inner suction/discharge port 3 and the outer suction/discharge port 4, respectively. On the other hand, impellers 31 and 32 that has a rotary shaft inside the heat exchanger 21 and can rotate reversely are arranged and air is circulated from the outer suction/ discharge port 4 to the inner suction/discharge port 3 via the heat exchanger 21 on heating operation and from the inner suction/discharge port 3 to the outer suction/discharge port 4 via the heat exchanger 12 on cooling operation. As a result, especially on heating operation, warm air is blown from the inner suction/discharge port 3 downward and the warm air reaches a living space near a floor surface even if, for example, the air-conditioner is arranged at a high ceiling, thus improving the heating characteristics. |
