PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for electronic component accommodation which is able to effectively prevent the electromagnetic waves from acting on an electronic component accommodated within the container and to airtightly seal the component without causing deterioration in its characteristics within the container, to thereby have the electronic component operate normally and stably for a long period of time. SOLUTION: A container 4 for electronic component accommodation includes an insulating base 1 having mounts 1a for carrying thereon an electronic component 3 and having a metal layer 8 disposed below the mounts 1a and also includes a conductive lid 2. By having the lid 2 join with the base 1 through a conductive sealing material 9 disposed therebetween, the component 3 can be accommodated airtightly within the container 4 so that the metal layer 8 is connected electrically to the lid 2. The material 9 contains inorganic and metal fillers as glass components, particle diameters of the inorganic fillers being smaller than those of the metallic fillers. |
