PURPOSE: An apparatus for opening and shutting a VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) door is provided not to open the door when a cassette tape is ejected. Therefore, a door opening operation is easily performed, and the door is opened by one-touch operation in a manual operation opening process. CONSTITUTION: If a cassette tape(T) presses knobs(34,34') to an arrow direction in a door shut state, a leader of a locking stud(35c) inserted into a hooking hole(12a) is ejected from the locking stud(35c) by an interlocking of a lever lock(35c). A VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) door open/shut device cancels a locking of a door(32) and opens the door(32). If a user shuts the open door(32), the VCR door open/shut device connects a sloping unit 'A' with a body(12) and operates the locking stud(35c) to a lower direction. The VCR door open/shut device moves the locking stud(35c) to an upper direction by the elasticity of a spring(36), when the locking stud(35c) is located in the hooking hole(12a), and locates the locking stud(35c) within the hooking hole(12a).
