PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for mechanical agitation type water treatment, on which microbes can be satisfactorily deposited and proliferated even when the carrier is used for a long period of time while being mechanically agitated and to provide a mechanical agitation type water treatment device where the carrier is used. SOLUTION: This carrier for mechanical agitation type water treatment is obtained by fabricating a thermoplastic elastomer having rubber elasticity of 20-300 kN/m tear strength and 200-1,800% breaking elongation into a hollow cylindrical shape.
