Bifunctional glue for sticking labels on reusable food containers, e.g. drinks bottles, contains at least one active accelerator for the stripping and cleaning action of alkaline media

A bifunctional label glue (I) with conventional adhesive components and water for sticking labels on reusable food containers, also contains at least one active substance which accelerates the stripping and cleaning action of alkaline media. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for labelling reusable bottles by coating labels with an aqueous solution of (I), sticking the label on the bottle and drying off the water (2) a method for cleaning reusable bottles in which the alkaline cleaner comprises aqueous sodium hydroxide/sodium carbonate solution and the other necessary substances are added in the label glue.
