The support framework and column may be bolted to the floor. The industrial robot may have a hinge on top of the fixed column holding an arm giving an L-shape. The frame may be hollow with a circular or rectangular cross-section. The end of the arm has further hinges giving a tool or manipulating clamp many degrees of freedom.
