APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COMPOST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing compost which has a simple structure and is capable of keeping the temperature and the oxygen concentration of a compost raw material to be suitable for the growth of aerobic microorganisms and is free from the occurrence of odorous component such as ammonia produced by the fermentation degradation.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the compost is provided with a fermentation container 1 in which the compost raw material such as organic waste is piled up and housed, oxygen enrichment equipment 2 provided outside the fermentation container 1 and for separating and taking out oxygen from an oxygen-containing mixed gas by an electrochemical reaction and an air blowing means 10 for supplying oxygen enriched air obtained in the oxygen enrichment equipment 2 to the fermentation container 1. The temperature elevated oxygen enriched air is supplied from the oxygen enrichment equipment 2 to the compost raw material 11 to fermentation-degrade and compost the compost raw material 11 by the grown aerobic microorganisms.
