<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image from becoming uneven in density along the length of a developing roller owing to deposition of a developer in a developer chamber for stirring at a downstream-side end in a developer carrying direction. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device comprises the developing roller, a developer carrying supply means, a developer chamber for supply in which the developer carrying supply means is incorporated, a developer carrying stirring means, the developer chamber for stirring in which the developer carrying stirring means is incorporated, and a communication part which makes the developer chamber for supply and developer chamber for stirring communicate with each other at both ends. At an opening of the developer chamber for supply, a regulating member is provided which regulates the amount of a developer supplied to the developing roller from the developer carrying supply means, and the amount of the developer supplied to the developing roller after being regulated by the regulating member gradually increases for a time from an upstream position to a downstream position in the developer carrying direction of the developer carrying supply means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
