PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of smooth ultrasonic cutting on a soft part of an object to be worked to the end without causing a failure in working. SOLUTION: This apparatus ultrasonically cuts a soft part 90 of the object 18 to be worked by relatively displacing a cutting edge 24 and the soft part 90 while pushing the cutting edge 24 of an ultrasonic horn 12 against the soft part 90 of the object 18 by relatively moving at least one of the ultrasonic horn 12 ultrasonically vibrated by an ultrasonic oscillation mechanism 14 and the object 18 to be worked to the other. The apparatus is equipped with frictional heat raising means 34, 88 and 76 for raising frictional heat generated between the soft part 90 and the cutting edge 24 immediately before the ultrasonic cutting is finished.
