PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-scale and low-cost push latch device which is provided in an opening/closing unit for an opening/closing door, an opening/closing lid, etc., which can prevent the opening/closing door, the opening/closing lid, etc. from being put into the state of being locked in a half-opened state, and which dispenses with the provision of a protrusion such as a hook member on the opening/closing door, the opening/closing lid, etc. SOLUTION: An ejection tray 3 in a closed state is kept in the closed state by a magnetic force acting on a section between a magnet 42 and an iron piece 9 of the ejection tray 3. When the operation of pushing the ejection tray 3 in the closed state further in the closing direction with respect to a closing position is performed, a rod 33 advances to an advance position, and this state is kept. In a magnet unit portion 40, a limit position of the displacement of the magnet 42 to the side of the advance direction S is set so that a position of a leading end 421 of the magnet 42 can be located on the side of a retractive direction T with respect to a position of a leading end 331 of the rod 33 in the advance position. An inside surface 3a of the ejection tray 3 can be surely separated from the leading end 421 of the magnet 42 by the leading end 331 of the rod 33 advancing to the advance position.
