PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily producible thermoplastic resin composition exhibiting good reversible reactivity by light irradiation and having good handling property and an optical actuator material using the same. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition contains (a) 0.1-50 wt.% azobenzene-based compound having an alkylphenyl group or a vinylphenyl group or its (co)polymer and (b) 50-99.9 wt.% thermoplastic resin.
