PURPOSE: A mechanical seal structure for an asphalt pump is provided to prevent leakage of liquid by maintaining a sealing state using a sealing material applied to the asphalt pump for transferring asphalt oil having a special chemical property. CONSTITUTION: A mechanical seal structure for the asphalt pump includes a mechanical seal having a fixed part(6) and a rotating part(4), and a plurality of O-rings(5,9). The fixed part is fixed at an end of a rotating shaft(12) and has a cemented carbide contacting part(7) at a front surface. The rotating part has a plurality of springs(8) for buffing axially when the fixed part is pressed and mounted and another cemented carbide contacting part corresponding to the contacting part of the fixed part and fixed on the rotating shaft. The rotating part and the fixed part face to each other. The O-rings are mounted on the fixed part and the rotating part to prevent leakage of asphalt oil.
