PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonant sound generating device of an electronic musical instrument which can reduce the memory capacity for a musical sound waveform and make a reproduction system relatively small. SOLUTION: In a resonant sound waveform memory 108 of the electronic musical instrument, only intermediate and upper register components extracted from a sampled resonance sound are stored as a resonant sound waveform.
