The invention relates to a holding stand for erecting shores, having at least three outwardly and downwardly directed legs and a mounting which surrounds the shore and can be braced with respect to the shore and on which the legs can fold about axes lying parallel to the extent of the shore, and proposes, in order to obtain a more stable but nevertheless simple shape, that the folding axes are formed by bars which connect two mountings (10, 11) lying one above the other, the legs (1, 2, 3) emerging from the middle region of the bars (5, 6, 7). <IMAGE>
