PURPOSE:To improve the effect of rust inhibition by providing an electrolyzing part for rust inhibition to the feed water path in a casing to reform water and supplying a rust inhibitor to the water on the upper stream or down stream side of a feed water pipe system. CONSTITUTION:A cathode 5a and an anode 5b are disposed to face each other in the hollow internal feed water path 1' of the casing 4 communicating with the feed water supply system 1. A diaphragm 6 for electrolysis is disposed in the feed water path between the two electrodes 5a and 5b to form the electrolyzing part 2 for rust inhibition and to activate the water to be treated. The supply part for the rust inhibitor consisting of a phosphate system and silicate system is provided on the upper stream or down stream side of the feed water pipe system 1 communicating with the feed water path 1'. The water is activated by the electrolysis of the feed water and in addition, mineral ions such as Ca ions and Mg ions are dissolved in the water in this mechanism, by which the reaction and effect of the rust inhibition are intensified and accelerated. |
