摘要 <p>1427991 Central buffer couplings GERMANY MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT 21 May 1973 [21 July 1972] 1681/73 Heading B7T An actuating device for the release mechanism of a lock of an automatic central buffer coupling 5 for a rail vehicle comprises an actuation shaft 1 mounted pivotably and slidably in oblong slots 7, (7<SP>1</SP>) of two end bearing plates 2, (2<SP>1</SP>), Fig. 4 (not shown), the shaft 1 also being axially displaceable in the bores 7, (7<SP>1</SP>) for the purpose of adjusting the lock to a shunting or buffing position (as shown in Fig. 3) in which one end of the shaft 1 has been slid upwardly along the slot 7 in direction F and rotated by a handle 6 at the shaft end so that the handle 6 and a projecting tooth 3 on the shaft extend at right angles to the length of the slot 7, the tooth 3 engaging with a holding stop 4 on the bearing plate 2 to hold the shaft 1 in this position. While the shaft 1 and its handles 6 (6<SP>1</SP>) are hanging freely as in Figs. 1 and 2, a coupling operation jolts the apparatus and causes the handles 6 (6<SP>1</SP>) to swing by inertia in direction B, but such swinging is limited by engagement with the tooth 3 of a hook 12 on an arm 11 of a hand lever 10, provided on the plate 2, which also swings in direction C when such a jolt is received.</p>
