PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image arithmetic unit which inputs a reference image and a search image to perform an operation between both images and can perform the normalized correlation of a two-dimensional image as it is and in a circuit scale smaller than the conventional one. SOLUTION: A product-sum operation part consisting of a systolic array 310, a normalization/accumulation processing part 350 and a correlation value memory control part 390 can also add the square of pixel value of a search image 'ser' to plural pixels and then add the multiplication of value of pixels of the image 'ser' and a reference image 'ref' corresponding to each other to those pixels. Meanwhile, the norm of the image 'ref' is calculated on a route (reference image norm calculation part 320) that is different from the product-sum operation part. |
