PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the light emitting center of a light emitting element with high accuracy without being affected by variations in external form of the element, etc. SOLUTION: A probe 16 which makes an LED chip 14 to illuminate before the LED chip 14 is bonded on a substrate 12, an image pickup means 18 which picks up images a light emitting part 14a while the LED chip 14 illuminates, and an image processing part 19 which detects the light emitting center of the LED chip 14 from the picked up image of the light emitting part 14a are provided.
