<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium recording all decoding information which requires the high level of security while maintaining its security even when the data size is larger than a recording capacity of an area to be originally recorded. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium records in two areas different in height of the security level an encrypted content and decoding information for decoding the encrypted content. An area L which is relatively high in security level records decoding information B to be a part of the decoding information. An area D which is relatively low in security level records decoding information C to be a remaining part of the encrypted content and encrypted decoding information.
