PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can output an incoming tone high in the degree of freedom and entertainment property and can reduce the burden to a user and the portable terminal itself in the case of updating sound source data. SOLUTION: This portable terminal is provided with a PCM data recording part 25A for recording PCM data. The PCM data include data about synthetic sound. An incoming tone data generating part 28 reads the PCM data being sound source data from the part 25A, etc., and generates incoming tone data by using the PCM data. An incoming tone including synthetic sound based on the incoming tone data is outputted from an incoming tone output speaker unit. The portable terminal also receives sound source data generated by an external information processor through a portable communicating part and updates the data of the part 25A based on the sound source data.
