PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of obtaining a display image with a wide dynamic range and a wide color region, by a reduced processing load.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: light emission means; display means which modulates light from the light emission means and thereby displays an image on a screen; acquisition means which acquires base image data and difference data to use for magnification processing of magnifying at least one of a dynamic range and a color region of image data; control means which controls light emission of the light emission means on the basis of the difference data: and generation means which generates display image data to use for display by the display means, on the basis of the base image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
