PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which features a small front-lens effective diameter, compactness as a whole, and a wide view angle, and yet easily provides high optical performance over an entire zoom range.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises, in order from the object side to the image side, a first lens group having negative refractive power, a second lens group having positive refractive power, and a rear group comprising one or more lens groups, where a distance between each pair of adjacent lens groups changes while zooming. The first lens group has two or more negative lenses, while the second lens group has three or more positive lenses. A focal length fl of the first lens group, a focal length f2 of the second lens group, a focal length frt of the rear group at the telephoto end, and a focal length ft of the entire system at the telephoto end are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
