PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses the occurrence of unevenness in image density and wear and chipping of a cleaning blade even after a single image is repeatedly formed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a photoreceptor that includes an outermost surface layer formed of a cured film of a composition including a reactive charge transport material; means that is arranged in contact or in proximity with the surface of the photoreceptor and charges the surface of the photoreceptor; means that forms an electrostatic latent image on the charged surface of the photoreceptor; means that stores a developer containing toner including toner particles and inorganic particles having a volume average particle diameter of 1 μm or less, and develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the photoreceptor with the developer to form a toner image; transfer means that transfers the toner image onto the surface of a recording medium; and means that includes a cleaning blade that is formed of a rubber-modified part injected with plasma ions at least at a contact part with the photoreceptor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
