摘要 The present invention relates to a lamp using light-transmitting ceramics and a production method thereof, wherein the lamp is thinner than the conventional light-transmitting ceramic panel while having adequate strength and providing sufficient support, and thus can be molded not only into a panel but also into three-dimensional shapes, and has superior light transmittance which significantly improves illumination efficiency. The production method comprises the following: a slip preparation step in which a slip is prepared from mixing 40 parts by weight of kaolin, 30 parts by weight of silex, and 30 parts by weight of feldspar and the slip is made to have a density ranging from 1.71-1.75 g/cm^3 depending upon the climate; a gypsum mold preparation step in which A,CH gypsum is used, water and 70-75 parts by weight of gypsum relative to 100 parts by weight of water are mixed, the temperature of the mixture is kept at 20C5C, and the mixture is agitated under vacuum in a vacuum agitator under the vacuum range of 70-74 cmHg/3min and then dried at 65C/96 hour; a glazing step in which a transparent glaze having a density of 0.4 g/cm^3 is glazed on the outer surface in 10 seconds or less; a firing step which involves a first firing in which a high-temperature reductive firing is performed at 800-900 C and a second firing in which firing is performed at 1300-1320C, the first and second firings being performed in a high-temperature updraft kiln for 11-12 hours at 20,000 kcal/hour by using an oxygen mixer turbo burner; and a lamp mounting step in which a lamp is placed inside the housing of a lamp made of the ceramic material prepared through the firing step.
