The sailboard dagger board box has guideways in the box sidewalls through which board trunnions pass to house, rotatably, in saucer-shaped bearing recesses. The guideways (3) have one edge tangential to the recess (5) and the trunnions (4) are deformed elastically to enter them, ensuring retention. The trunnion cross-section is roughly semircular, the peripheral portion at the ends at least being of rubber or elastomeric material. Sloping ramps (7) in the recess bottom opposite the junction (8) between its periphery (6) and the non-tangential guideway edge cause that junction to act as a detent to baord insertion and extraction.
