BOARD INSPECTING INSTRUMENT

PURPOSE:To prevent the pattern surface of a board from a contamination and a damage during the conveying of the board by carrying it in an inspection stage and carrying the board out of the stage by using a carrying mechanism constructed such that a claw member holds the board at its margin. CONSTITUTION:A conveying mechanism 800 has a loading side chuck 802 and an unloading side chuck 806. The chuck 802 holds a printed circuit board to be inspected that is conveyed to a loading position by a pickup/placing unit 600 and conveys the board to the central portion of an inspection stage 200 to transfer the board to the stage 200. The chuck 806 receives the inspected printed circuit board from the stage 200, conveys the board to an unloading position and transfers the board to a pickup/placing unit 700. Thus, the pattern surface of the printed circuit board in conveying is prevented from a contamination and a damage.
