PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a negative electrode carbon material for lithium secondary battery having a service capacity remarkably exceeding the theoretical capacity, having an initial efficiency of >=90% and being excellent in safety, and to provide a negative electrode carbon material obtained by the producing method, a negative electrode using the carbon material, and a lithium secondary battery using the negative electrode. SOLUTION: This method for producing a negative electrode carbon material for lithium secondary battery features compounding a graphite-based material with a hard carbon precursor and then baking the mixture in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. |
