Protection device for keeping garden areas free of slugs

The device has an essentially vertical wall unit (14) which can be fixed into the ground using protruding units (12) and which has two essentially parallel, longitudinal, mutually insulated conductors (16) at a distance (A) apart enabling both to be simultaneously contacted by a slug and which are connected to a voltage source (18). The wall unit is elastically flexible perpendicularly wrt. its wall plane. Each wall unit has a first connection region (20) on one end and a second connection region (22) on the opposite end. The first connection region can be removably connected to the second connection region or to a further wall unit without additional equipment.
