PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an object to be detected small in size and lightweight, without having to lower the performance of a magnetic encoder and to miniaturize the magnetic encoder. SOLUTION: The object to be detected 1 adopts a bonded magnet, which is molded in such a way that an anisotropic SmFeN magnetic powder is bonded by a binder, such as a polyamide binder or the like. Since the anisotropic SmFeN magnetic powder has a size which is about 1/10 as large compared with an anisotropic NdFeB magnetic powder, the density of the magnetic powder in the magnet can be made uniform and dense, and the magnet can be magnetized in multi-pole way. The maximum enery product of the magnet is higher than that of an anisotropic SmCo magnet. Since the density of the magnet is low, the object to be detected can be made small in size and lightweight. |
