PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dual mode radio communication equipment by which notice of a residual capacity of battery in response to the communication mode is made accurately. SOLUTION: Threshold data to display a battery residual capacity in an incoming call standby state in the analog mode or the digital mode respectively are stored in an analog mode discharge characteristic storage area 21a and a digital mode discharge characteristic storage area 21b. A battery residual capacity discrimination means 20a discriminates a battery residual capacity level depending on the communication mode in operation based on a voltage detection result of a battery 30 by a voltage detection circuit 32 and the data stored in the analog mode discharge characteristic storage area 21a or the digital mode discharge characteristic storage area 21b. Then a battery residual capacity display control means 20b displays the battery residual capacity on an LCD display device of a control unit 22 depending on the discrimination result by a battery residual amount discrimination means 20a.
