PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic blackboard system capable of automatic distribution, which can efficiently distribute information written on an electronic blackboard. SOLUTION: An electronic blackboard 10 is provided with a network I/F 11 for connection to a network, and the electronic blackboard 10 and a host computer 20 are connected through a network 30. Picture data including character information written on a writing sheet 12 of the electronic blackboard 10 is processed in a read part 4 and a picture processing part 15 and is sent to a host computer 20 from the network I/F 11 through the network 30. Personal address information stored in the storage part of the host computer 20 is referred to by the character recognition function of the host computer 20 to designate a distribution destination to which this picture data is distributed, and picture information written on the electronic blackboard is automatically distributed to this personal address. A personal electronic mail address and a personal FAX number are used as this personal address.
