METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RAMAN SPECTRUM ANALYSIS AND SORTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze a black plastic material. SOLUTION: A sample 6 is irradiated with laser beam with a wavelength range of 640-950 nm through the fiber head 4 connected to a laser 1 by an optical fiber 3 and the beam reflected from the sample 6 is condensed by a fiber head object lens 5 having apertures larger than 0.6 to be sent to a spectral camera 2 through an optical fiber 7. Spectral data for identifying the kind of a polymer and the presence of a definite additive is given by analysis due to Raman spectroscopy in the spectral camera 2. The operation distance between the sample 6 and the fiber head object lens 5 is pref. 5-100 nm.
