PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and compact crusher having excellent crushing efficiency which can efficiently press an object to be crushed to a position where a rotary blade and a stationary blade are engaged to each other. SOLUTION: A guide surface 35 of recessed circular-arc shape starting from a charging port 4 and reaching the engaging position 10 of the rotary blade and the stationary blade located at a lower end thereof is formed in a crushing chamber 3 of the crusher 1. Along the surface, a pressing member 21 performs a circular-arc motion in the up and down directions. When the object to be crushed is charged from the charging port 4, the object drops to the engaging position 10 by dead weight and is crushed to give excellent crushing efficiency, Further since moving space of the pressing member 21 may be small, the device can be small-sized and compact. Further since the space between the pressing member 21 and the guide surface 35 can be made broad, crushed pieces do not clog therebetween and thereby pressing operation can be efficiently performed, too.
