<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the operation of a light source device from becoming unstable. <P>SOLUTION: This light source device 10 is provided with: a high-pressure discharge lamp 32 having an arc tube 40; a reflector 34 for reflecting light generated in the arc tube 40; a holder 36 for mounting the discharge lamp 32 to the reflector 34; and a temperature sensor 56 installed in the holder 36 for sensing a temperature around the discharge lamp 32. When the temperature around the discharge lamp 32 sensed by the temperature sensor 56 is set higher than a preset reference temperature, a display device 62, a buzzer 64 and a lamp 66 are driven. Thereby, a user (a viewer or the like) can easily recognize that temperature abnormality occurs, and can take measures for stabilizing the operation of the device 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
