PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening structure for an assist grip which can perform the highly reliable fastening of a base member with good workability without using a jig as in case of screws, or without controlling a fastening torque or the like. SOLUTION: This fastening structure for the assist grip fastens base member 11 which pivots the assist grip 41 to a car body panel 61 with a clip 21 and an engaging member 31. The clip 21 is equipped with first engaging parts 23 and 23 which engage with the base member 11, and second engaging parts 24 and 24 which engage with the car body panel 61. In addition, the first engaging parts 23 and 23 have a through hole 23a which goes through in the direction being orthogonal to the inserting direction at a section protruding to the outside by going through the base member 11 in the inside and outside direction. The engaging member 31 is equipped with an engaging section 32 which is inserted in the through holes 23a and 23a and prevents the base member 11 from being removed to the clip 21, and a cover 33 which covers the front side surface of the base member 11.
