PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft-type windmill capable of suppressing excessive increase of a rotating speed of vanes in a high wind speed region, to solve a problem in a conventional vertical shaft type windmill that the rotating speed of the vanes is excessively increased in the high wind speed region, which causes failure and breakage of the vane, a shaft and a generator.SOLUTION: In a vertical shaft-type windmill composed of a cylindrical rotating shaft, a plurality of vanes supported on the cylindrical rotating shaft by upper and lower two vane supporting arms, and a generator sharing an axis with the cylindrical rotating shaft, a clearance between the vane and the cylindrical rotating shaft is less than a vertical length of the vane, and the generator is positioned near the center between upper and lower two vane supporting arms in a height direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
