The present invention provides a hot press forming device, discriminating a mounted position where a heated metal plate is mounted in the hot press forming device. The hot press forming device comprises: a press unit where the heated metal plate is mounted on a lower mold to be formed in accordance with compression of an upper mold and the lower mold, having an upper mold and a lower mod; and one or more sensing units spaced from the press unit and sensing a shape of the metal plate in accordance with brightness of the metal plate different from the brightness of the lower mold.
