PURPOSE:To obtain a stereoscopic monitoring device which provides a stereoscopic view by superposing a reproduced image based upon an image pickup signal which uses an energy wave other than visible light with a direct image. CONSTITUTION:A couple of energy sources 7a and 7b generate a couple of energy waves other than visible light, e.g. X rays 8a and 8b. The couple of energy waves 8a and 8b pass through an object 1 of monitoring and cause left and right detectors 10a and 10b to output left and right image pickup signals 9a and 9b, which are supplied to left and right display devices 11a and 11b. A half- mirror 15 is arranged at a specific angle to a half-mirror 14. A light beam 19a from one display device 12a is made incident to a lens 17 through the mirror 15. A light beam 19b from the other display device 12b is also made incident to the lens 17. Consequently, a left and a right reproduced image and a direct image from the object 1 of monitoring are superposed one over another by an optical device 20, realizing the stereoscopic monitoring device which provides a stereoscopic view. |
