Copolymers of olefinically unsaturated compounds and containing secondary amino groups, a process for their preparation by reacting the parent anhydride-functional copolymers with primary/secondary diamines to form an imide, and the use thereof as binders or binder components for coating compositions, sealants, adhesives or printing inks.
