PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent burrs from penetrating into a container obtained. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a container which has a cylindrical body 2 made of thermoplastics, a short cylindrical part 4 to be fitted in an opening at an end of the body 2, and an outwardly oriented flange 5 which is formed integral to an end of the part 4 and is in close contact with an end surface of the body 2 and includes a cap 3 made of a thermoplastics to close the opening at the end of the body 2, a plurality of annular grooves 10 are formed on a contact area of the inner periphery of the body 2 for contact with the part 4 of the cap 3 or on the outer periphery of the part 4. The cylindrical part 4 of the cap 3 is fitted into the opening of the end of the body 2, and under conditions that the flange 5 is being urged towards the end surface of the body 2 in the axial direction of the body 2, the body 2 and the cap 3 are turned relative to each other to join both of the body 2 and the cap 3. |
